I have always loved the water. From growing up near Lake Michigan
and then by the Pacific Ocean, water has represented a calming influence on my life. I spent many contemplative hours on the East Coast
watching the Atlantic Ocean, too.
Most of the vacations I have taken have been to places near water. So it seems only
natural to take up a sport involving water, fly fishing. I am just a beginner, having bought
my first rod and reel a few summers ago. It hasn't taken me long to fall in love
with the sport, and I hope to encourage women to take up fly fishing. I want this to be a list of resources i have found helpful
to me, plus I am keeping a diary of how I evolve as a
fisherwoman. The impossible has occurred and I have started fly fishing again. To read about my
